imagine if we had picked up points where we could have
« on: May 02, 2011, 05:16:41 PM »
should of scrapped a draw at blackpool with 9 men  (1)
tamas should of scored in the last minute against spurs at home (2)
we shouldnt have let a 3-0 lead slip against west ham (2)
if pete hadnt missed a penalty against man u! plus neville sent off and peno in first half we could have won against them (3) or maybe just a draw

potentially could have 6 or 9 points more now and would be sitting on
with the 6 we would be on 49 and sitting in 7th place with the 9 points we would be on 52 still in 7th 3 points off a european spot!

if our defending wasnt better and we got the decisions we could be a top 6 finish!
any other circumstances i have missed where we have thrown away or narrowly missed out on points?
O Albion we love you

2 up against Arsenal so there's another 2 points, but there's always the other side of the coin ie, Wolves/liverpool at home stoke away
Whenever we are playing badly, just remember -
Paul Chrichton,Neil Parsley, Andy Mcdermott, Scott Darton, Winston White,Mark Angel, Fabian DeFreitas, Paul Williams......now, do you feel better?

Don't torture yourself mate, there's definitely been a few times this season where things could have gone against us but we've got lucky and come away with something. These things tend to even out.

I wonder if things will really start getting more even with clubs like West Brom when the financial fair play kicks in?

When I first read that I thought you meant the Fair Play league, in which we MUST be bottom! Lol.

I hope it does as teams who look after their finances deserve to be rewarded.

It works both ways though doesn't it? What if Cox didn't score a wonder goal v Spurs? What if Shorey hadn't cleared off the line in the last minute against Liverpool? What if Vela didn't get two late equalisers against Wolves and Stoke? What if Van der Sar didn't make the error that led to Tchoyi's goal against Man U? What if one of the penalties against Liverpool weren't given? I could go on.

How about a league in which Phil Dowd is not allowed to officiate?

Easily the worst ref in the league, Unfit and his decision making has been awful all season. Looks like a relegation for Mr Dowd.

I can't think of many occasions when we've picked up points that we haven't deserved though.

Another one people have missed is Vela's chance to win the game at Stoke, 2 points right there.

But I agree with the majority that there is two sides to the coin. That's football for ya, the game we all know & love  ;D

Liverpool away ..
Tchoyi had his shirt pulled off him, official WBA site has  a pic of it , and leaving Torres unmarked on the edge of the box was just awful
