He got too many things wrong tonight including the balance in midfield and the position he asked the subs to play , Wallace and Diangana should surely have been the other way round . He has clearly gone out on a limb for Armstrong but outside of the penalty area he offers very little , he’s not a target man , he’s not a link man and he isn’t a wide left player

Very poor tonight. Passing was diabolical either giving it away or putting a team mate into a no win situation. Wingers seemed intent on running towards their own goals .
Midfield is a big concern and TM hadn’t got it right. The starting 3 tonight are all very samey , it needs to
be two from three with a more creative player in there with them.We had the chance to do that with the subs but inexplicably put Wallace and Diangana in the wrong positions as it had to be much better with Diangana as the 10 and Wallace on the right wing . Not sure how we do it but we need to get Armstrong and Lankshear in the team together but the centre of midfield then gets out numbered. .
We started the game so slowly it just allowed them to settle back into shape and a true indictment is the fact that our only serious effort on goal was a header from Heggem which hit the post.
Less said about Mowatt and Styles tonight the better

Quite impressed with the standard shown by our boys who looked better all round than Newcastle. Think several could make the step up in due course. The winger Higgins talented on the ball and the left back, think it was Jamal Mohammed, strong going forward. Can't find any league table for PL2.
The LB was a lad called Parker , Mohammed was playing CB alongside Semi

Semi cruised through that , wonder if he’ll be on the bench Wednesday?

Dike taken off after half hour , looks to be planned not injury. Seems to have lost a bit of bulk , looking very trim

We got what we deserved in the end - those last three minutes we're just beautiful really. Every single emotion was experienced within those three minutes.

I thought we were the better team in the first half but never made it count. We never really created that opening and the loss of Fellows and Johnstone looked noticeable.

We had 3 big chances in the first half , two for Grant and one for Armstrong as well as a couple of shots from around the edge of the box we probably should have done better with

For those worrying he could be just like Marshall last season don’t ! This lad is a unit , physically ready for this level . His first three involvements today earned us one goal and two free kicks. Like all strikers a goal would help him produce even more

I think the fact that he didn’t give a free kick ( it seemed blatant from where I sit) at the start of the move that led to the offside may well have influenced him as well !

Blues have just clinched goal of the season !

What we have got is too many similar players , players that want and are best in the same position

Thoroughly deserved win. There’s something extra about a late winner when the opponents have come just for a draw.
Shout out to Armstrong , Lankshear and Wildsmith all did their bit to help us get the win.
We have to sort the centre of midfield out playing Molumby, Price and Mowatt didn’t work with the attack chosen not creative enough all too samey .
Armstrong probably guilty of trying too hard early on , Grant didn’t look the same player as earlier in the season , Diangana the best of the trio and looked the most likely to create something , unlucky not to score early in the second half denied by a superb piece of defending.
Defensively we seemed a bit jittery considering they hardly had an attack in the first 60/70 minutes. Heggem had one of his poorest games and his link up with Styles was out of kilter.
Didn’t see what Bartley did in the scrimmage after the whistle but if he raised his arm he’s an idiot. .
MoM has to be Molumby for one flick of his boot  :D :D

Don’t under estimate the part the young lad Lankshear played , battled hard to disrupt so giving Fellows just a bit more time to pick the cross

It has only just struck me how well the 5 sub thing can now work for us, if we are chasing a game we now have the resources to go full on at tiring defenses.
Protecting a lead will be challenging but I don't think TM will be worrying about that too much
TMs way of protecting a lead is to get another goal !!

I saw nothing but £4/5m until someone on here said that they saw someone on twitter say £2m, then everyone starting moaning about it being £2m. Some people really have it in for the club.

It’s really not up for debate, it’s £4m possibly £5m. Allowed us to buy a creative midfielder which we needed and replaced Palmer effectively like for like with one of our own.
SSN and a reporter at Ipswich were saying 2million all day right from the get go

According to Hermon 2,4,5 million are all correct in some way ! Forget 5million as that’s only happening if they stop up, looks like 2million up front rising to 4with god knows what sort of add ons

If it’s 2 million plus 2 million guaranteed add ons why don’t they state the fee as 4 million ?

Dropping Fellows and Johnston!!

This is a cry for help if ever I've seen one.

Has Mowbray ever played with 3 centre backs?
Sometimes the best team doesn't contain the best individuals

More and more I think the squad is lending itself to a 352 system. It would mean some pretty unfavourable decisions regarding who gets left out but hey ho e.g I don’t see room for both Fellow and Johnston in this system as it stands team would look something like
                                                   Griffiths
                          Holgate.              Bartley.            Heggem
Furlong.           Molumby             Price.            Mowatt.             Styles
                                    Lankshear.              Armstrong

Surely we haven’t recalled a player from a successful loan to just sit on the bench. Has to start for me.
Unfortunately we would have had to as it was last day of transfer window and we would need senior cover
