Where's the evidence to suggest he can't? He's at least earned the right to have the opportunity to have a season where he can actually spend some money.
It's easy to forget the absolute dross we've had as managers in recent times. Are there better managers out there? Yes of course. Are they available, interested in coming to us and can our board actually identify them in the first place? Doubtful.
He's done far better with this team than I expected when he joined us and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with the rebuild of the squad over the summer.
I can’t believe there are some critising Carlos. That 1st half was a Mourinho type level of tactical performance m. You give this manager a good class of players & we’l go places.
Let’s see what these team looks like next season with a group of players that fit Carlos’s style. I think we end up on more points than we did this season because of this manager.
Don't torture yourself with that hope it would seem at the very best a long shot.
Agreed. I really hope we can strike a deal with Celtic. He has had a really positive impact since coming in on loan.

Just had a quick look at the post match thread and one or two questioning whether Carlos is the right coach to take us forward. I'll nail my colours to the mast on this and say he is. My only concern is whether he wants to go into next season which is going to be a difficult and transitional one. All parties need to be clear about the direction of travel and if Carlos has his doubts we thank him for his services and wish him well for the future.
Let me stress I hope this is not the case but frank discussions need to be had right from the outset.
2, another 2 on 19.
We don't have anyone in the top 24 of the goal charts.
It kills us when they double up and we have no other threat but with Fellows on the right it makes us difficult to play against. If we had a 20 goal striker and we'd had these guys all season we'd have finished top two.
Him and Fellows the only two threats on the pitch! I don't get you hatred of Johnstone, he as been a breath of fresh air. Nothing to do with him being a Celtic player is it?
One of the two best threats for the Albion MJ and Fellows are the best chance we've got of winning this and they should have more space in the away leg.
Never underestimate the importance of good goalkeeper distribution when trying to break through a team’s press.
I'd rather that his worst skill than any of the other skills required of a goalkeeper!
purely on the evidence of highlights of Sheff Wednesday match I would try to sign Musaba who apparently scores goals and is fast and if not a similar type of player.
I know what i see mate, i know hes a good keeper and i think he'll improve as gk tend to
So I'll stick with my understanding of the game, how he communicates with his defenders his distribution etc, i dont need to know about the metrics, i know because i am there watching
Hey JMullen 95, tell me how many clean sheets does Palmer have so far this season?
I think it’s 17,
Not bad for a go is it?
He’s the best we’ve got ,a top keeper in this division,do you know how good he would be if we get promoted, because if you do know ,give me Saturday’s lottery numbers please.
I don't think 'stiffs' is the right term for our age group teams and it doesn't have to be week in week out straight away. Whitwell does look a talent and looks physically strong. Given our lack of youth and depth in the midfield options, given a good pre-season he could well be in the mix for next season. His 1st team introduction in the cup may have 'only' been against Aldershot but in his 30 minutes on the pitch he picked a perfect pass into the path of Fellows who tucked it away.
