You just know he’s going to start Swift.

I've never been quite sold on the early love in for Nestor , transfers have been mixed ( especially the 2 from Italy ) and the first real test in replacing Carlos hasn't gone well .
To go from Carlos and his intense defensive style to Mowbray and his attempt at attacking football was just to much of a jump and to be honest a bit naive of Nestor .
While its 10 X's better than Lai and co I hope lessons will be learned quickly.

Nestor made a comment at the start of the season saying the’d run a game model & believed the squad should finish 6 points better off than last year, at the time I thought it was fanciful & it’s looking pretty farcical now.

Corberan was desperate to get out of the club by the end, I do have this nagging feeling was it partly down to working with Nestor.

As you say it’s 10x better than last year & the Heggem, Price signings are encouraging but there is also the Frabotta, Cole signings & the managerial appointment looks to be the wrong one (not withstanding the process took far too long). It’s been a mixed bag so far.

It’s just not worked has it, he doesn’t know his best team still, it’s taking him too long to figure out what works (Armstrong needing a physical presence beside him etc.) his in game management is just baffling, the squad look confused & discipline has gone out of the window. This can’t go on for his own sake.

However he’s also been let down by a bunch of mentally weak & very limited footballers. This leadership team had us bottom of the league before Corberan managed them within an inch of their lives& the’ve very quickly slipped into the same rubbish they were serving up under Bruce. What’s worse is currently we’re looking at another season with Bartley, Furlong, Mowatt, Wallace been the ‘leadership’ & senior pro’s we’l be stuck in the same position next year either with or without Mowbray.

At least we won’t have to watch him for many more games. As much on Mowbray for bringing him on.

Disagree with that, I'd say 1st 15mins Cov dominated, then we dominated for 15 mins, then back to Coventry.  We just don't look very threatening, we rarely get numbers forward and if we do we give it away cheaply.

Each to their own mate but I certainly don’t think we dominated any of that first half. We were largely awful for most of it & have created absolutely diddly squat.

I think it’s just pessimism that’s been beaten into me from supporting the Albion for 25 + years but I just don’t see us getting the win today. It feels like this set of players always choke when the pressure’s on & very much so this season with the late goals conceded. I’d love to be wrong & hope I am but I think this lot will find away to disappoint us again, probably in the 90 + minute as well.

Cheery start to a bank holiday weekend I know haha.

His comments border on insulting the fan’s intelligence, there isn’t a month in Sundays we deserved to win that yesterday, we were god awful for all bar 20 minutes. Against Norwich he made it sound as though we battered them when we created very little.

What he was thinking of going with that formation yesterday god only knows, it’s clear to absolutely everyone bar Mowbray if he’s going to play Armstrong he needs a physical presence up with him yet Mowbray is coming up with more ridiculous formations & ideas to try and shoehorn Armstrong into the team. Even more baffling that Mowbray doesn’t know how to use Armstrong effectively given he’s worked with him before.

You’re not pulling the wool over the fans eyes with your comments Tony, that performance & tactics employed yesterday was the same turgid rubbish Bruce served up, there’s lots of parallels to Bruce’s reign so far infact.

Remit needs to come from above that he needs to start blooding some of the youngsters & get game time into the likes of Bany, Diakite, Whitwell, Bostock etc. to get them experience & to give us a good look at whether they are capable of contributing next year.

If he’s unwilling then he needs to be given his marching orders.

I can’t wait to see the back of some of these players. Take your pick bar 20 minutes they were awful tonight. Times up for Mowbray for me too, tactically the game has passed him by, it’s clear to everyone we need a target man yet he persists with Armstrong & Grant. The only reason we scored tonight was because of a calamity at the back it wasn’t through our own good work.

Let’s be honest this is the same turgid rubbish we were served up under Bruce. Swift, Armstrong & one of Molumby or Mowatt need hooking at half time

Leeds post 60m loss for 23/24 season in their first champo season.

Blimey that’s mental, if they don’t go up this year they are well & truly going to be up the creek without a paddle.

I’m hoping Mowbray’s comments in the press were said to not destroy Wildsmith’s confidence but Mowbray is looking to make a change, maybe not for this weekend given the tight turnaround but hopefully Griffiths is given the gloves during the International break.

It seem’s to be with keepers once they drop a few clangers the confidence drains from them & they seem to make the wrong choice for 50/50 decisions thereafter. Let’s not forget Wildsmith nearly dropped another testicle towards the end of the game with a really weak punch. I think his confidence is shot & I can unfortunately see him making another howler in the next 2 or 3 games if he’s left in for much longer.

I think he’s lost the confidence of the back 4 infront of him & also lost the confidence of the fans, we are all just waiting to see where the next howlers going to come from, I think the nerves from the stands will transmit to the players which helps no-one.

I’ve been critical of Holgate this year but I’d have to say I thought he was superb 2nd half against QPR & was also very solid last night. He either needs to play at right back or as the right centre back in a 3.

Hopefully he keeps it up.

He’s quickly becoming a favourite of mine, that touch in the 2nd half was utterly sublime. The lad really does have a bright future. I still think he would be best used as a box to box midfielder rather than an attacking midfielder as Mowbray has him currently but what a player.

I think we’l have had this lad for next season & then he will have Premier League interest in him if he carries on this trajectory.

This is the type of recruitment we need to continue on with.

It’s a free world people can leave when they want I just don’t understand when you’ve paid for a ticket why you’d leave when the game is in the balance. I go to the football to watch the football & see what the result is. Appreciate some people need to get away for whatever reasons that’s fine I’ve never understood the mentality to get away to beat the traffic though, I know I’m going to be sat in traffic as it’s part & parcel of going to the game, I’d rather watch to the end & sit in traffic than the other way round but each to their own.

Particularly pleased to be updated about PSR and glad to hear about strides being made there.

Back-of-a-fag-packet maths says we got Thomas-Asante (£2.5m), Yokuslu (£1.5m), Townsend (750k), O'Shea (£1m), Corberan (£4m) and Palmer (£4-5m) providing in the region of £14m-ish? And whatever we got for Mo Faal as pure profit as well.

Outstanding work on the outgoings as far as I'm concerned. With a 30% reduction in the wage bill to boot, we can chalk that up as a radical change in our financial outlook.

Hopefully we've navigated the existential threats we faced and it's now about getting out of this division in the next 2-3 seasons. Exciting times.

Realistically we are going to be looking at somewhere between £12-15m pure profit on Fellows when he moves on in the summer (assuming we don’t go up) which will further help with PSR.

So refreshing to hear Nestor speak it’s clear there’s a long term vision for the club & that they are already working on the summer transfer window & will be prepared for all eventualities.

Such a superb signing & when Maja’s fit we probably have the best strike partnership in the division
