For liverpool today 16 year old striker ... stolen from our academy? Not sure how the system works but surely we would have players tied down to contracts of some sort?

West Bromwich Albion FC / The real test of a manager
« on: September 25, 2011, 05:46:41 PM »
Now we will see what Roy Hodgson is made of. It won't happen overnight, things clicked for us last year straight away when he arrived, but now things are not going to plan, even the best teams in the world have dodgy patches.

What I don't get is the thought that we will play like this forever and that Roy is going to ruin us as a team. We have had 1 awful performance this season and 2 sub par.

I believe we will turn this around, we should put a lot more faith in the manager who last season was literally a god. I am guilty of it too, but why are we generally as fans so much quicker to turn now??

For me we used to just be s****, I accepted that and it didn't used to bother me.

But I think these last few years we have been given a taste of the big time just a small one, and were now desperate and believe we should be up there.

I just hope the manager is capable of handling the impatience of our support, proves me right and turns things around for us sharpish!

Since we are so set on Mulumbu and Scharner..

What about Mulumbu Scharner and Brunt in the middle.

With odemwingie and tchoyi on the flanks

Long up front in the solo role he did so well in against chelsea!!

Is that the third penalty out of three he has missed now?

Cracking player, but penalties are just not his game!

West Bromwich Albion FC / A lift from the Youth

With many people disappointed by the end to the transfer window now is the time to put players like Dawson and Thorne in the side.

Give us a lift and show us some promise and excitement. Even Dorrans would be a good introduction. The team looks like a bit of a January Christmas tree in my opinion, jaded and flat. Just needs a small spark to inject a bit of enthusiasm back into the club.

I really can't wait to see how Dawson shapes up!

We as fans really could make all the difference this year. With the signings we have had there is absolutely no excuse for everyone not to be up for this season.

Get behind the lads and give the moaners a proverbial slap of reasoning that they might not see a season as good for a long long time!

BOING BOING!

I guess most people will wait till we have actually beaten Stoke before getting excited! But I think i'll get in there a little early!

West Bromwich Albion FC / Defence Solved

Break the bank on Cahill and cross our fingers!  :D - Seriously though could we afford it? What would he be looking at 70k a week? £15 Million to sign?
I know we don't have a sniff but do we have the financial muscle to pull something like that off? Or has it all gone on wages?

West Bromwich Albion FC / Am I the only one??
« on: August 15, 2011, 08:47:24 PM »
I came out of the game on Sunday, proud of the performance we put in, excited by the massive improvements in the goalkeeping department and upfront with Long.

Yet I come on here and its just people moaning about the managers subs, reid - who yes had a shocker but still.

Really enjoyed sunday we got cheated by the officials especially the linesman yet we can be proud of how we performed as a team and a club, we were on a level playing field with united it wasn't a one sided game, and that is against the best team in the league.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Amazing times ahead.

The future at our club looks so good, youth players coming through, being scouted by top clubs. Big name players to come in, with foster just the first. Stadium expansion, financially one of the healthiest clubs in the country!

Top class manager..

It just gets better at the moment doesn't it?

Before today was a real in form player. Awful error today, but still afterwards he put in a great performance, I really felt for him, especially hearing odemwingie say how he was saying sorry to him as they came out for the second half. Great togetherness and spirit, and I think he really can become a solid defender for us.

Thoughts?

General Football & Sports / Barcelona - a disgrace to football
« on: April 27, 2011, 09:35:28 PM »
They will never be the greatest team. They cheat and are so dishonest they are an embarrassment to world football.

Technically they have good players, but they are not worthy of being called a great team.

An absolute joke of a supposed football game tonight

Bloody marvelous gutsy decision, got in a world class manager!

Am I getting carried away? or are we unbeaten in 6 after playing stoke away, arsenal, liverpool!

Well done Jeremy Peace, I am sorry but he deserves at least some recognition.
Well done Roy Hodgson for sticking to your principles and re-shaping our team.
Well done the players for what has to be the best performance I've seen against a so called top team ive seen in years.

BOING BOING

Since January in my opinion Brunt has played awful, no passion, no commitment, lazy and not providing the assists he used to.

Maybe I am missing what he adds to the team at the moment? But if there is one player who consistently gets up my nose lately its Brunt.

Anybody care to disagree?
