Think keep it simple try Cole up front and Grant off him.
Or Grady.  His goal against Stoke shows what we all know, he's got the instincts of an attacker not a midfielder.

Middlesbrough away probably not the ideal place to give him a start though

Fairly quiet on here - probably because as someone said above, we didn't learn anything today we didn't already know.
Over to you, Tony!

May get some stick for this but I'd be tempted to hold off appointing someone till in the summer rather than just appointing a head coach for the sake of it.

Let Brunt and Abella have a good go for the remainder of the season and then go from there.

Will give us plenty of time without having to rush an appointment.
I wouldn't disagree.  Bring in Mowbray to supervise till the end of the season.  It would be better than rushing a dud.

Maybe the second string will be fired up to impress the new boss and we can do Bournemouth reserves.

I'd be fully confident he'd be trying to get us playing attractive attacking football, and that he'd be a hands-on coaching trainer. The question is, would he have the personality to get through to the players. I've never heard him speak, in Dutch or English.
We could get Steve McLaren to translate

Yes whoever it is will get my backing.....just hope its not Hake.
It's probably completely unfair but to me there's something Pardewish about him, hope I'm wrong if it is him.

In my humble opinion, I'm quite glad we're taking our time.  Two of the best managers of the last twenty year have been de Matteo and Clarke, neither high profile has beens nor ego driven self promoters.  I know they both kind of ran out of steam eventually, but don't they all?  Brunt and co are doing ok, and we've got senior pros who know what they're doing in the current system, so better take the time to get it right.  We've only got a few shillings left at the moment, so I'm hoping for a younger guy who's in it for the challenge as much as anything.

In talks with Rene Hake, Ten Hag's Assistant at Man U According to Romano. Interesting!
This sounds a bit fishy to me

As I am sure Roy would say, better Waphael Wicky than Wayne Wooney.
Just don't ask Roy which one he would rank higher

Crying shame, that would really have set us up for a run at the playoffs, but I'd have taken a draw before kick off.

I don't think this guy gets enough credit at times.

All I hear around me are people constantly moaning about his kicking - yet he makes big saves at big moments and is a genuinely safe pair of hands when crosses are being fired into the area.

When you watch Championship games and see some of the keepers, I think we're lucky to have him.
I was thinking just that the other day, he is improving his presence all the time, especially under high balls.  Kiss of death for the next game I know!

No need to rush, can't do it by Sat realistically, then a cup game we will almost certainly lose whatever team we put out.

Brunt has done ok, so take the time to get this right.

I was getting a horrible feeling like that legendary West Ham game, but we held on fairly comfortably in the end.

Three brisk goals and a bit of a homer ref, Cole looked what he is, a reserve CF at Hugill standard, but he can do a job on days like this.

He's a solid, reliable pro, and he could do a good job during a rebuild if he wants to be here.  I think he will be able to earn more elsewhere though

With only 18 months left on his contract I'd sell towards the end of Jan.

The fact we only have one terrible striker and one crocked one to replace him makes me seriously wonder why we didn't target another striker in the summer.
We can't go to the wire, we'd need to get another striker in surely

Saints, Ipswich and Bournemouth all interested in Maja according to reports from some Albion social media accounts. Allegedly we'd be looking for a few of around £10m.

That feels low looking at his return so far this season.
Unfortunately 10m is a lot for a mid table champ club in rebuild mode, I'm pretty sure we'd take it.

Expect 5 months of these random seeming results, anyone who can put a half decent run together will be in the lottery

Moyes no, he basically sneered at us some time ago when there was a vague suggestion he might come here in an interview.  Think it was before or after Roy.  Can't use the word I'd choose for him, Certainly Until Next Tuesday.  Allardyce #2.

I don't think we want to rush this, we won't be relegated and might sneak the playoffs again.  I''d be happy with Mowbray for six months while we consider the future.
