I was happy when we beat crystal palace as I think this season we will improve, but now I'm totally hopeless.

Similar, Palace was a great start and we thought we would really have a go under the new regime in the remaining weeks of the Window and, surely, Tone would set the team better balanced especially at home.

The following weeks, on top of the previous two years, have sucked the life out of most of us and many, pre season, unlike me, have voted with their feet and not renewed. Many regular faces are missing this season and it's not been the Hawthorns it was. Add in the non atmosphere, the mess of the Window's final days, the take over delays, the Berahino continuing farce, the stench of Peace and Jenkins still around, the obvious Management vs Puils battle and you can see we are badly in need of a lift.

Not at all. Can't even get annoyed by it anymore, I'm just bored and apathetic.

I don't care that we lost today which is ridiculous, I'd normally be kicking the cat round the house, but the club have sucked all the passion out of me.

Me too. My passion for the Albion and the game in general has been waning for a few years now, this is just killing off every last bit of interest remaining. Had a great night at the dogs at Hall Green last night, bit of excitement and atmosphere at a sporting event. That's what it's all about isn't it.

If anyone is relatively happy then it is that exact "I'm just happy to be here" attitude that has held the club back over the last 7 seasons. If the club know they can get away with being cheap in the transfer market, bringing in a 'survival speacialist' with no consideration of playing watchable football and just picking up the TV money each year then they'll do that.

You'll get the "we're the only West Midlands club in the PL, look at Wolves and Villa, haha they're playing Burton Albion while we're in the richest league in the world. We've been sold for more than Wolves and Villa combined". I couldn't care less about Wolves and Villa, they're irrelevant to me unless we are playing against them. I'm an Albion fan so I want Albion to well. I can guarantee that Wolves and Villa fans have much greater ambitions that we have atm, regardless of whether they will achieve them.

Depending on what metric you use, we are around the 13th most successful club in English history, 13th should be an average season for us. Some fans would treat 13th as if we'd won the Champions League. We aren't a midtable Championship club punching above our weight as much as Pulis tries to make out we are, we are a bigger club than some of our fans seem to realise. How will we ever progress if we treat being in the PL in the same way a League 1-sized club would?

There is no disguising that we aren't in the best place right now, but if we look beyond the here and now things could improve. The ownership question has been settled, Pulis won't be around forever the academy is starting to produce some decent prospects.

We have been in worse positions.

Sadly beating palace was the worst thing we could have done

I enjoyed the game
But it hid the problems

I think Overeem could bang him out early, the longer it goes, the more it favours Stipe. Mickey Gall will destroy (I'd be suprised if it goes past 3 minutes). Werdum should dominate again unless he walks into a big shot. Can't see that happening though, Browne's been too busy banging Rousey  ;D ;D ;D

Alistair does look calm and Miocic fights better away from the pressure of his home crowd which goes against him him in this fight. Why I called it that way I thought Miocic had the reach advantage turns out he doesn't. I think you're right the Reem beats him then gets strangled by Werdum at a later date ;D

Never happy with a defeat, and not overly happy with the board/takeover. Overall we're muddling through despite another very poor window. Sounds like the game could have gone either way today.

Hope Pulis sees out his contract and then walks away at the end of the season. 40 points has to be the target again.

I'm still Albion, I'm losing patience with TP, although he was what we needed at the time & he does do what it says on the tin! However, I'm getting bored with the Premier League & even the championship as it's all money, money, money. Unfortunately we've always been tightarses when it comes to money. I think when we did spend big once, (Peter Barnes or David Mills) the rumour was we spent it to avoid paying tax!!
It must be written in the clubs constitution that thou must not spend!
Whether the Chinese change this, who knows but survival as the aim, to be fair for all bar 8 teams, is making football boring to watch, no chance of winning everything = boring.
I'd rather watch Newport County in L2at the moment & they're pooh too!

Not happy with any of it. I no longer give a toss if we win lose or draw and have not done for a long while even before Pulis came. I still go to games albeit aways have dropped off but thats more down to work becoming more of an issue than anything else but at one time I would be more inclined to rearrange things now I don't bother.

I went today, went to Millwall, will go to Stoke  possibly Luton but after that aways will be a trickle again until around March.

Hate the Premier League and what football has become.

if you're not at the match I bet we've all been at a function (even a funeral how sad) where one way or another you've tried to find out how we are getting on. its as if its the only thing in the world that matters between 3-5pm. on holiday abroad pre mobile phone i would just buy a paper usually the sun just to get the score.
I want to feel like that again.

Exactly that. Was out all yesterday, had my phone on me all day, but didn't once check the Albion score. Got back in the car around 4.45 and TalkSport was on which is how I discovered the unsurprising news of a dour 1-0 defeat

Precisely! I remember when I was studying in America, midweek games were in the middle of the afternoon for me. I was always sat at the back of the classroom with my laptop watching a stream.

I wouldn't say I'm unhappy at the moment, I just don't care - which is probably worse.

I agree with that Nick.

I once read that there were 3 emotional states considered when contemplating the break-up of a relationship, Love & Hate could be managed, if it got to "don't care", all hope of a reconciliation was gone

If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

A wise old owl sat in an oak, the more he saw, the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard, why aren't we like that wise old bird?

After following my club for more than 40 years through mostly thin times, I know as a baggies fan not to get too giddy about the club as I will enevitably get let down, so I have always had an "enjoy the good times whenever they appear & accept the rest" attitude. I have never thought we are a big club but enjoyed the wins over big teams & our local rivals. However, I have never felt so disconnected from & disinterested in my club so much as over the last 18 months when my joy for WBA has pretty much gone.
I really want TP gone, but suspect he will be here for the rest of this season. I have already accepted we will be having another season down amongst the dead men & will be relying upon 3 worse teams again, however I think we are probably down this year as our form is absolutely abysmal. The fact we are already clinging onto hoping to buy well in January is a show of how much trouble we are in now.
I took Mrs Manc Baggie & our young son to a pub to watch the Manchester derby yesterday & was surrounded by City & Man U fans. I was asked a few times who I supported & without exception got commiserations or just an "I pity you mate" response when I said I am a baggies fan. The football quality & entertainment on show was amazing btw.
When I got back, I saw & followed a live feed link to our game at Bournemouth yesterday that someone had posted in the match thread. I watched for 5 mins & just couldn't be bothered after that. I didn't bother with the game until about an hour after it was over & noticed we had lost & were poor again according to the forum & other site match reports.
So, I am certainly not relatively happy with WBA at the moment.
A change of manager & tactics is now overdue, but I suspect neither will be happening anytime soon.

That's how I felt yesterday. I turned off my stream the moment they scored knowing full well that was the result. I felt next to nothing.... and that cannot be right!
