more recently Mulumbu at Home had 12 of us watching in a pub in Adelaide We made it seem like 1200 of us loved it

Also we came back to visit and took my kids to Villa away did em 2-1 a week after watching us beat the Dingles at home , fans were absolutely on top of villa it was ace

another one early 80s about 150 of us meeting at The Temple Bar and Shakespeare in Brum marching on to the train getting off in Aston and chasing a load of Villa into The Adventurers pub You should of seen em barricading the doors
Queuing up to go in the Holt end only for a hawk eyed WPC to spot we were Albion .
They led us down towards Witton so we all bought tickets for the AV Stand You could just pay in on the day back then, to many of us up there to throw out
Game was 3-3 at Half time I think but of course they beat us 4-3
Ended up walking form Vile Park to Rolfe Street in the end to get home after lots of playing up after .

Actually reading through yeah Pulis upset me every-time He put a team out

4
First went January 1976
Fell big time for the baggies
They didn't take long to hurt me
Giles resigning aws the first kick in the teeth
Then the Ipswich semi final I cried
Fatkinson selling everyone Johnston , Martin , Cantello , Cunningham
Fatkinson joining Man U and taking Robson and Moses with him
Ron Saunders just awful
Bobby Gould absolute joke of a manager I went to Bristol Rovers that day Didn't speak all the way home I just to numbed
Nothing really bothers me now I get more upset if I see Villa win a game

West Bromwich Albion FC / Pulis signings
« on: December 28, 2017, 10:10:35 AM »
Now lets give him something
Off loading Lescott and signing Evans , borderline genius

But
The front three  pure Chumpionship level , worst bunch of forward men since before my time , maybe ever , We had Taylor and Hunt in Div 3

Jake Livermore  , does he just get his name on the team sheet then disapear

James Mc Clain Chumpionship grafter

Please feel free to add the mess this guy has left us in

I've not been or here for ages but feel compelled top add to the Pulis Out campaign now that we are two points above Everton who We all know are about to improve . We needed Pulis after the Irvine , Mel disaster but blimey this is just the worst football we have ever played in our entire history . I feel the players are good enough but with Pulis barking out orders like a Sunday Morning wannabe now with added pressure of Lord Megson doing the same (Yes I am eternally grateful and I will never forget how good Gary was for the Albion, but just feel We didn't need him back) How can we expect these players to perform . We went tiny steps forward after Robson we had top half finishes with Clarke , Hodgeson and Roberto but Pulis has taken us to darker times It was more fun in Div 3 than this . We are due to be remembered forever like Stoke are (probably unfairly ) Pulis out this is anti football I live in Australia now but if I was still there I'd have to say I probably wouldn't renew my season ticket with Pulis in charge

I don't think making players, many from working class and ethnic backgrounds, forced to sing the praises of a rich old German woman who has never done anything for anyone poor, should be seen as being controversial.
In days gone by when most footballers in the UK were English or at least British, and having a passport doesn't qualify by the way, it would still be down to the individual imo if they wanted to sing or not.
GSTQ should be abolished from sporting events imo and then we wouldn't have the "controversy" of if they sang or if they didn't.
Who bloody cares anyway?
I bet the old goat doesn't even know who plays at The Hawthorns.

Superb Post by Wind

Sinclair was rubbish anyroad
Odenwingie ungrateful little piece of Bristol trash
Willie Argentina thing wasn't his fault and He was brilliant and would be in most people over 50s all time 11

Game was such a low point in my 40 odd years of Baggyness I don't want to talk about it . I noticed Bowies fashion playing at half time did they play Bowie prior to Ko? Thought they might go for Black Country Rock

the willie johnston world cup scandal

given a couple of flu tablets by the Doctor that contained a trace of a banned substance , half the scotland team took them as admitted by both Asa Hartford and Don Mason .  Yet Johnston got no support from the scottish football association and was banned from playing in Europe which we were regulaly competing at the time

Why were no Doctors questioned

I'd have to plump for one that doesn't get mentioned much. a 3-2 win over Man Utd ,F.A.Cup replay on a wednesday night  Willie Johnston was the best winger in the world that night .
