West Bromwich Albion FC / Louie Barry

Barcelona still haven't paid up for Louie Barry.
What a joke such a massive club delaying paying £230.000 for a bargain of a player.

Fifa should cancel the transfer and make them pay compensation, its already a
Ridiculous system where talented players move abroad for a pittance.

West Bromwich Albion FC / goals against
« on: March 02, 2019, 07:55:37 PM »
why is our defence so poor, looking at the personnel at our disposal it's the one area where I would expect it to exceed, and having an experienced ex defender as manager it's baffling why we've conceded so many goals.
we've got the worst goals against in the top 10 and conceded as many as Wigan in19th place, not even sure we've kept clean sheets two matches running.
there's lots wrong at different times at the Albion but this defence has been consistently poor all season.
it's not played on paper but our 1st choice back 4 should've done a lot better

what's your opinion on when the club should be looking for his successor? at 34 how much longer can he keep up the brilliant level of goalkeeping he's given us. probably one of the best if not the best keeper we've ever had and irreplaceable. one of the greatest signing the clubs ever done imo.

General Football & Sports / BBC petition

Would like the help of 5 fellow posters to start this petition.
Having learned that the BBC has televised every Manchester United FA cup match since 2005 which amounts to 56 consecutive games I don't feel that this is unbiased viewing.

As a licence paying customer I feel that the BBC should be spreading its coverage to more smaller clubs that makes the FA cup so special and not keep feeding the coffers of the richest club in the world.

the link above is to sign the petition and the one below was provided by Smethdan that gives the facts to this extraordinary biased coverage.

West Bromwich Albion FC / being cup tied
« on: January 25, 2017, 11:00:56 PM »
we all know that a player can only represent one club a season in cup competitions. I've always wondered why is it allowed in league matches?
what i am getting at is that a player could play for a club v Albion, get transferred and play against us again for a different team, I would assume the way fixtures are set up that he could possibly play 3 times against us. any reason why its different in cup and league games.
wouldn't you be a bit narked if one player scored 2 winning goals against us for 2 different teams?

we've certainly shifted players on this season making room for new faces.
Mcmanaman
Gardner
Berahino
Pocognoli

we've probably got money to come in from 3 of those players together with the £12m off Saido so financially the clubs done well.

Has anyone watched any matches yet? I've never had much interest in football outside of Europe and with no Albion players out there I've lost what little interest I did have.
must say although the stadium in todays match looks nearly empty the supporters turn it into a colourful spectacle.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Player sales
« on: January 05, 2017, 04:47:48 PM »
http://www.transferleague.co.uk/west-bromwich-albion/english-football-teams/west-bromwich-albion-transfers
just browsing through the above link and its quite noticeable how few players we actually sell for a large fee, those we have sold are mostly players we've  paid a high fee for and haven't sold a player over £3m since greening in 2010/11. for a club that's had 10 years in the premier league and its over inflated price its odd that we've made so little from player sales. whether this is down to the club keeping our players or other clubs not coveting them I can only think of saido who's been wanted for big money recently.

West Bromwich Albion FC / european football.
« on: January 03, 2017, 03:40:15 PM »
Am I correct in thinking In the past the club has played down the thought of playing in a European competition
IF we did somehow qualify in the future do you see it as a good thing, could we cope with a successful  domestic season alongside it. I've seen in the past similar size clubs struggle when involved in European football. is it the reason Leicester are poor this season? remember Ipswich who had a great season and played in Europe and I think then got relegated. the idea of playing in Europe is fantastic for fans and I remember some great nights at Albion playing some superb teams but would it be detrimental to any future club development.
its hypothetical I know but its not unrealistic.
