I totally understand people feeling this is bittersweet but it shows a bit of optimism for next season??

Would do if we keep most of the squad. As some one pointed out, this squad isn't that bad.  There's a decent team in there somewhere but we were Pardewed.

Anyone harbouring hopes of staying up still  :-X :o ;D

Thought we were excellent today, showed why we shouldnt be down the bottom of the league if managed correctly.

Its the hope that kills you.......

If the reds pick a weakened team next week ahead of the semi final you just wonder what could have been.

The thing is, if you think the squad isn't that bad (and last season makes me think it is actually decent enough), then Pardew takes more of the blame for me.  Pulis left us when we were out of the relegation zone and had far fewer games in charge.  Pardew failed to take advantage of the squad, the new manager bounce, and was awful at every single level.

Pardew had every opportunity this season and screwed us over.

No. If this was 3 matches ago then maybe but 9 behind with 12 pts left? Can't see it.

Unbelievable. Never thought we can win this before the game.
Well done Albion. Credits to Moore and all players, their fighting spirit deserved 3 points.
Finally we can hold on the lead and win a game. :)
Although we are going down, at least we going down bravely.

Good win, decent performance, rode our luck at times. Phillips a passenger again.

Still not a fan of Brunt in the centre especially with 3 natural central midfielders on the bench, Jacko MOTM  :D

MOTM Foster, excellent save and kept us in it a couple of times

Good win and good performance. Refreshing to see our side battling together as a team.

Not keen on Brunt in the centre but he had a good game and brought a calmness in possesion. Should not be his position long term mind.

Man of the match is a coin toss between Dawson and Hegazi. Both were superb, bullied Lukaku, threw their bodies at everything and picked up a deserved clean sheet

Played well today. Brunt MOTM. Foster outstanding. Rodriguez Rondon and the centre backs very good.
Christ Jacko you really are a wind up merchant Brunt MOTM? behind Foster, Rodriguez,Hegazzi, Dawson and McClean for me, but no bad performances except for Phillips once again

I fear our fate is signed, sealed and all but delivered. However, we should continue fighting to ensure we don’t finish bottom of the league and thus win more prize money, which would come in useful and give fans a filip going into a Championship season

Great match and so leased for DM.  He should have been in at least a couple of matches ago, and even though we are going down, we at least can do so with our pride intact.  Hope Moore gets a place in the new set up.
