We blew it lets face it.  Blew it due to having an owner who wasn't able to invest who sold to an owner of the same ilk.

The main regret during that time is that we take the cups seriously.  If you look at teams like Wigan and Blues who won a cup they can say that they had that special moment but got relegated.  We never had one and still got relegated.

Bet their fans haven't though. And never will.

We still harp on about '68.  51 years ago.

we do? very very rarely do I hear it directly referenced, or mentioned at all. Then again the people I talk to are in a fairly young demographic, where the relationship isn’t there as it was too long ago.

Exactly, speak to any Blues fan, Wigan fan or Swansea fan and there is no way they would swap their cup win and European tour the following season to be in the Premierleague.

They have that one day that being a football fan is all about, it is one thing that really made me think what is the point of us actually existing when we would put weakened team out in the cup when we were about 9th in the league.

Football is about success and hoping to finish above 18th in a league is not success, it is existing and not competing.

This exactly covers how I feel, and is what I used to say to patronising fans of the big clubs who used to imagine that I should be happy just to support a Premier League club. Just one day of glory would make up for all the tough times.

They did well against City last season. The way Wolves play suits playing the likes of Man City. Lesser clubs at home, for example, they tend to struggle against more. Huddersfield did the double over them last season.

The Athletic Twitter Account

'May be a quiet transfer window or two'

Wolves' owners are looking for fresh funds and strategies as they bid to continue the rapid rise of the club

I’m really glad the investing in Thomas Cook instead  ;D

They are miles ahead of us.

We won't finish above them as long as they have current owners

hopefully it becomes a reality. Nuno is massive for them and a really top manager.

reading molineux mix does make me laugh, a lot of them really think Nuno would rather stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers than Arsenal. If he ever did stay then fair play but i would be amazed if he did.

Much much bigger club and resources. Maybe one day they will realise that.

This bloke knows what he is doing, hopefully a point not lost on Arsenal. I am amazed no one came in for him over the summer.....

Jimenez will look great in an Arsenal shirt methinks
