Jake Livermore was shown a red card against Deportivo La Coruna after lashing out at Fabian Schar but the FA have confirmed to Albion that no further action will be taken and the England international will be available for the Bournemouth game.

still playing a RB at LB, still playing a CB at RB. Still lacking quality in CM. Horrible pre-season. While I like Jay's signing, still just a band-aid solution to the lack of depth at striker problem.

At least if McAuley isn't able to go Hegazi has looked promising since he's stepped onto the pitch for us and I don't feel too worried about him getting a start on Saturday.

But it hasn't been a good summer and I go into this season with the same concerns I had for most of last season: can we create enough attack to score some goals?

Reading some of the online chatter about the Deportivo performance we could well be in for a very torrid time on Saturday unless something pretty amazing happens in the coming week!  :o

Well providing we don't go down to 10 men, stick Myhill in goal and swap the kids on at half time, you can't compare the two games.

Foster
Nyom - Hegazi - Evans - Brunt
Yacob - Livermore
Phillips - Chadli - Rodriguez
Rondon

Subs: Myhill, Wilson, Dawson, Field, McClean, Leko, HRK

Not match fit: McAuley, Morrison

That's our best XI currently, looking at that its criminal how weak our squad depth is. I expect Pulis to play Dawson and ruin the defence, if he goes 442 or Chadli is out wide/not playing then I expect a comfortable Bournemouth win.

:D you know full well it's more an allusion about the style and method of play we will inevitably adopt than the actual personnel on the pitch and bench
But full marks to you for sticking to your guns and beliefs

One thing I aye looking forward to is the traffic on the M5.
Might be more exciting than the match!
Is going to be a nightmare though. I'm normally 10 mins but think I'll be going the scenic route and taking about 45.

I've looked online and can't find much on McAuley - will he be injured for this game or fit?
I think Morrison is injured whereas it's less clear on McAuley.

Pulis said a week or so ago that he expected everyone to be fit for the start of the season, but as McAuley & Morrison missed pre season that they probably wouldn't play against Bournemouth. Fit but not match fit perhaps?

there's a bit about McAuley & Morrison at the end of this piece about Bournemouth.

The only issue we have selection wise is Brunt or Nyom at left back. Dawson will be right back, so if he selects Nyom left back then hopefully Brunt is on the bench, else it means he has gone uber negative and dropped Chadli for Brunt to play in a middle three.

       what I think we'll see:
                                                              Foster

                    Dawson                Hegazi                Evans              Nyom

                                                 Yacob               Livermore

                  Phillips                               Chadli                         Rodriguez

                                                            Rondon

Subs: Myhill, Wilson, McClean, Brunt, Leko, Robson-Kanu, Harper

what I'd quite like to see is (if we haven't got anybody new in):

                                                                  Foster

                     Nyom             Hegazi                               Evans               Brunt

                                                    Yacob                Livermore

                          Phillips                           Chadli                           McClean

                                                              Rodriguez

Subs: Myhill, Dawson, Wilson, Field, Leko, Rondon, Robson-Kanu.

Think Pulis will be fairly cautious for this one, he won't want to start with a defeat and I imagine he'd happily take a point right now if you offered it to him. Obviously with so few options most people will only change 1-2 players from any 11, but I think Pulis will go for this.

Foster

Dawson
Evans
Hegazi
Nyom

Livermore
Yacob
Brunt

Phillips
Rondon
Rodriguez

Subs:
Myhill
McAuley (K Wilson if not fit)
Field
Morrison (Leko if not fit)
McClean
Chadli
Robson-Kanu

I actually think that shape 433/451 is how he'd like to set us up longer term now we have Rodriguez. I'd be inclined to get Chadli in there for Nyom and play Brunt at left back but I'm not sure Pulis will bother.

I can't see where a goal is going to come from for us.

For me, its either, 0-0, 0-1 or 0-2.

Bournemouth 2/1. Good price really. Feel like I have inside knowledge as I don't think the rest of the world are aware of how under equipped we are.

Just did a count of the tickets remaining for the Bournemouth game.

Smeth’ 9
Halfords 62
Brummie Rd 1682
East Stand 384
Total 2137

Capacity 26,850 (Don’t know what the official capacity has been reduced to following the redevelopment) – 2137 = 24,713 provided Bournemouth sell their allocation.

Quite surprising given the negativity currently permeating social media and forums such as this.

Impressive pick up on sales, loads of community freebies or is my browser on the blink  :-X ?
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
